| | Just a few of my favorite people pictures from a recent trip into the countryside
 
 
As you can see, it's the children who capture my heart. They're so welcoming and loving. We spent some time in a temporary one room schoolhouse with about 20 elementary kids teaching them a few English words and giving them balloon animals. We visited another school down in the valley and played ping pong & basketball with them. They were a little older and were so happy to learn their colors in English. Some of the girls were so excited they even did a song & dance for me. Later, when we tried to leave they begged and begged us to come home with them. We refused because it was getting late and we needed to find a hotel and were (we thought) far to exhausted to climb another mountain, but they weren't taking no for an answer. They practically dragged us up the mountain. Once we arrived at the top, they fed us 4(yes, 4) suppers in about 2 hours time and then, divided the 6 of us up into 3 different homes for the night. It was a great experience.
